We’re encouraged to let go, anyone been Marie Kondo’ing it lately?  But when you care about something a lot, it tends to have a lot of attachment, especially to certain outcomes; usually the way we think something ‘should’ be, or we desperately want it to be.

A Year Of Possibility

There is something magical about a new year,

 A fresh energy and a blank canvas of possibility, with a hopefulness in the air, like everything is new.

There’s a lightness, where we feel we can put aside any heaviness of the year that’s past and start again.

In actuality, it is just another day, however we step into a new mindset, like we can let go of anything that has taken place in the previous year, into a new beginning.

I’ve been reflecting on this, as I was thinking how do we allow that lightness and sense of possibility to move throughout the rest of the year; not just on the first few days of January, that sometimes gets lost when we get back into work and the day to day normalcy of life?

Be it your work, your relationships, your hobbies, and even your daily habits.  However, are these things you've actively chosen consciously, or have they evolved on an unconcious level?

It's important to remember that you have choice at every moment, whether that be to choose the same thing, or if it has evolved to choose again for a new reason, or to choose something completely different; recognising it’s not about the “what”, or the “how", but about your “why”.
